Sussa Samverkan and Cambio Healthcare Systems have today signed an agreement to introduce a new, modern and comprehensive digital healthcare environment for care providers within the Sussa regions. The new solution signifies improved support for healthcare staff, improved patient safety and modern tools for patient involvement.
The agreement means that Cambio and Sussa Samverkan can now start the implementation of the new health IT platform. The new system will initially be introduced in the five procuring regions of Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Sörmland, Örebro and Blekinge. Another four regions have an option on the agreement and can therefore suborder at a later stage. Altogether, a quarter of the population of Sweden may be covered by the new system.
The agreement comprises a core system including support for surgery, anaesthesiology/intensive care, obstetrics and chemotherapy, as well as operating services, support and maintenance. If all nine authorities choose to sign an agreement, the contract will have a total value of SEK 2.7 billion for the first ten years.
– “We are very proud that Sussa has chosen Cambio as its partner for the next generation of digital health solution. This is an important step in enabling patients to be offered even better care focused on greater involvement and better availability, says Peter Gille, CEO of Cambio Healthcare Systems
– We are delighted that the agreement has now been signed, signalling the start of the next phase in the introduction of our new digital health solution. We will now be developing the next generation of healthcare information support together with Cambio. Support that will contribute to safe and secure care for all patients and that will also be an effective and reliable tool for our staff,” says Ulrika Landström, Chair of Sussa Samverkan.
